Two people are dead after a state police helicopter crashed to the ground near Charlottesville following violent protests between white supremacists and leftist counter protesters.
Virginia State Police confirmed just before 6 p.m. Saturday that a helicopter crashed just outside Charlottesville, Va.
According to police, two people died in the crash but police did not state if the two people who died in the crash are police officers.
The helicopter was reportedly flying above a white supremacist rally that quickly devolved into clashes between neo-Nazis and leftist counter protesters.
The collision between that vehicle and two other stopped vehicles injured 19 people and killed one person.
