Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) will make an announcement about his political future Thursday on the Senate floor about his political future amid sexual harassment allegations.
Multiple women have accused Franken of groping them.
One of the accusers, Leeann Tweeden, said Franken sexually harassed her while they were both part of a 2006 USO tour.
At a press conference last month, Franken told reporters last month that he apologizes to those “who feel that I have done something disrespectful or that hurt them.
The calls for Franken to step aside came shortly after Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) announced his retirement amid sexual misconduct allegations.
Senator Franken is scheduled to deliver a speech from the Senate floor at 11:45 AM ET.
