New Blues coach Brad Fittler believes rugby league backrower Angus Crichton has shown great dedication to the game by getting his finger amputated to prolong his playing career.
Angus Crichton had his finger amputated as it was a quicker recovery time than having a joint replacement and meant he could play from the debut game of the 2018 NRL season.
"The cartilage had died in it, so it got fused and four fusions later, it's broken four times," Crichton told 9NEWS.
New Blues coach Brad Fittler has described Crichton as "super impressive."
