Half-Ton of Smuggled Cocaine Seized over Three Weeks in Puerto Rico

CBP officers assigned to the Contraband Enforcement Team in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on June 26 found anomalies on the Santo Domingo — San Juan ferry.

The Officers inspected several containers on the ship M/V Kydon, according to information obtained from Puerto Rico CBP officials.

Enforcement team members inspected the ship utilizing non-intrusive imaging systems and found several anomalies in a lowboy trailer.

Offices weighed the drugs and determined the cocaine has an estimated street value in excess of $7 million.

Contraband Enforcement Team members searched the same ship on June 10.
