John Kasich hasn't ruled out challenging Trump in 2020 primary

John Kasich has not ruled out challenging President Trump in a Republican primary in 2020, according to a new report.

Politico reported Friday that Kasich has not yet decided whether to run as an independent or challenge Trump in a Republican primary, if he decides to enter the 2020 race at all.

Kasich has discussed with advisers if there’s “an opening” for him to enter the race, whether Trump is running or not.

John Weaver, another Kasich adviser, said the Ohio Republican has not made any decisions about a future presidential bid.

“He’s made no decision whether to run in 2020, he’s made no decision whether to run as an independent, in a primary, or not.
