Rapper Kanye West visited the White House on Thursday and delivered remarks about police brutality and the Second Amendment, among other hot-button issues.
“Or,” he continued, “the idea of someone being racist, you know, we talk about police murders, which we definitely have to discuss and we have to bring nobility to the police officers, … the police officers are just like us.”
During another segment of West’s remarks, a reporter asked the rapper about his thoughts on gun violence in West’s hometown of Chicago.
The reporter asked, “What about gun violence — with all the debate about the Second Amendment?”
“The problem is illegal guns,” West answered.
