Parents face homicide charges after infant's body found hidden in cat litter

The parents of a 6-month-old girl found dead in a storage container in a crawl space in their Pennsylvania home are facing criminal homicide charges.

Twenty-five-year-old Shaun Oxenreider and 27-year-old Samantha Trump were also charged in Berks County with concealing the death of a child, abuse of a corpse and conspiracy.

The pathologist, Dr. Neil A. Hoffman, told the Reading Eagle that Harper's broken bones were suffered over a four-month period leading up to her death.

"When you see a young child's life taken away, unnaturally, in a situation where they were abused to the point where they were murdered, that's tough to swallow," said John Adams, Berks County District Attorney.

The investigation into Harper Trump's death began when Oxenreider's relatives contacted police.
