FBI agent Peter Strzok told the U.S. House of Representatives Thursday that the strident, even profane, views he expressed in text messages to his mistress, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page, were not biased.
The exchange occurred during questioning by Rep. Steve King (R-IA):
The Inspector General’s report did, in fact, find that Strzok had expressed bias, and could not rule out that his bias may have affected the FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton’s emails.
A separate IG investigation on the Russia probe has yet to be completed.
Later, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) accused Strzok of lying about being biased, which provoked angry interjections by Democrats.
