Southern Oregon fires threaten homes causing emergency evacuations

Major fires in Southern Oregon grew rapidly since Friday, threatening homes and forcing evacuations as weather conditions continue fan the flames.

Level 3 evacuations — meaning "go now" — are in place around both blazes impacting residents on West Pickett Creek Road, located about 12 miles northwest of Grants Pass, and north of the intersection of Grave Creek Road and Ditch Creek Road.
