Apple CEO Cook said in a personal tweet today that they have purchased 10 million N95 masks for the United States and millions of masks for the worst-hit areas in Europe.
Apple had originally promised to donate 2 million N95 masks to the United States on Saturday, of which 1 million were left to California.
However, due to the severe epidemic situation, Apple CEO Cook today decided to give extra money, donate 10 million masks to the United States, and donate millions to European countries in the hardest hit areas.
According to foreign media reports, Apple has notified employees that it plans to resume Apple Store operations in early April.
The Apple Store will not resume business all at once, areas with severe epidemics will continue to close, and areas with improved epidemics will gradually recover.
