Trump appeared to slur during Jerusalem announcement because of dry throat, not false teeth

The White House on Thursday shrugged off President Trump appearing to slur while announcing his decision to move the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, saying Trump merely had a dry throat.

“His throat was dry.

There's nothing to it,” White House spokesman Raj Shah told reporters, according to Newsweek.

“I’m saying there’s nothing to it," he added when pressed about whether poor health was to blame.

Social media users had fun speculating the reason behind Trump's apparent linguistics troubles when instead of saying "the United States," he said "the United Shtatesh."
