– Seven healthy dogs were euthanized in Richmond, Indiana, and workers accused leaders of a “no kill” pet shelter of trying to cover up the situation.
Nearly 12 employees and volunteers said the board of Help the Animals Inc. lied to them about what happened to the dogs.
They also said as the truth was exposed to the community, they were told to lie to the public about where the dogs had been taken.
During the first week of November, the dogs went missing from the shelter.
“The board didn't want to admit they'd done that so they told all the employees to lie to people and tell them that no they were transferred,” said a worker.
